The Maryland Planning Commissioners Association (MPCA) is pleased to host its 36th annual conference at the Holiday Inn Express in Aberdeen, Maryland.
MPCA members have expressed a strong interest to address the multitude of changes regarding housing trends in Maryland.
We will cover topics pertinent to the changing needs of your community, including:
Accessory dwelling units
Short term rentals
Tax-incentivized development
Community involvement in housing projects
Workforce housing
Affordable housing / Vouchers
And much, much more!
This year will feature planning commission training and 1-1/2 days of current topical sessions. The conference fee of $130 for early-bird attendees and $70 for students includes the conference, lunch and dinner on Wednesday, and breakfast and lunch on Thursday.
Registration check-in starts at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, followed by the Planning Commissioner Training Course, Open Meetings Act training, and events and sessions to be announced.
Thursday's sessions, November 7, will begin with breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and continue to adjournment at 5:00 p.m.
The MPCA Conference offers Planning Commissioners, Board of Appeals members and anyone interested in citizen planning an opportunity to learn, share experiences, and exchange ideas.
