New Emerging Planner's Group Chair: Jasmine Forbes

On February 10th, 2019, Jasmine Forbes became our new Emerging Planner’s Group Chair. Jasmine has previously been the Secretary of the EPG and stepped up recently to become Chair.

Jasmine Forbes is a Baltimore native that is currently a Planner I with the Planning and Code Administration in the City of Gaithersburg. Prior to working with the City of Gaithersburg, Jasmine was an intern with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning (Prince George’s County) and the Maryland Department of Planning.

Jasmine received her Masters Degree in City and Regional Planning from Morgan State University in 2013.  In 2011, she received a Bacherlors Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Frostburg State University. She had also majored in Art and a minor in Art History during her Undergraduate Studies. She was the Vice Service President for Alpha Phi Omega national coeducational service fraternity during her time in Frostburg.
